As we will make the Xbox approach “every first party game, any time may come to the PS5” for this generation, which undoubtedly raises questions about the games they have NO However, she made it on her rival keyboard. Recently, this would be prone.
Avowed is the new AA-AI RPG from Obsidian, Fallout Creator: New Vegas and Worlds Outer. It was firmly received, though its 80 score is not as good as it can be for what is likely to be “true exclusive” to Xbox this year, now that the fable is delayed (of course it was). But should it stay exclusive?
It is a fair question to ask after Microsoft has repeatedly said that nothing is out of the table. If Master Chief and Marcus Fenix aren’t, why should it be evowed?
Avowed has not been notified as going to PS5. Not in a time delay, not at all. But do you want? And when? Is the time now, based on the way the game interpreted? While PS5 fans may seek to celebrate a “victory” having a staring head (plus you know, the ability to play a pretty great game), I have my doubts about Microsoft giving it a away, at least so fast. Here’s the case for and against:

- One thing when it announces too early that something will be in a time delay (Indiana Jones) or the same day launch (Doom: The Dark Age), but it would be another to accept it to fans that a game like Avowed is going to PS5. Maybe they agreed to the game of play for her. Maybe they bought it. But you can see how this would create annoyance and even more uncertainty about current Microsoft release plans if this would happen anytime soon.
- Avowed is based on the pillars of Eternity Universe, yes, but more or less exists as a new IP, and this is something that Microsoft previously said they would not donate. While explaining their reason for maintaining the Call of Duty multiplication, while they argued in court to buy Blizzard activation, they said the original IPs of the first party were the types of things that would stay exclusive to Xbox, not large, set as a call of duty.
- We have an example of this thing that is happening. At least not yet. That would be Starfield, Bethesda’s big game that was in September 2023, and a year and a half later, is not in PS5, nor has he been announced for PS5. Even if “nothing is out of the table” which does not mean “everything is finally going”.

ABOUT
- Obsidian said that Microsoft was happy with the way Avowed is performing, but in this current era of software spread, Microsoft also wants … sales, and they are now the largest publisher in Playstation, which is wild to see (mainly because of the call of duty). Avowed behavior in the PS5 will be apparent in much more sales than they currently.
- Of course, most Xbox players played in the game, and Game Pass provides much less copies of digital boxes/sales as part of its very nature. But looking outside the non-Xbox ecosystem, I’m not sure I can say that Avowed amazing steaming. She didn’t even break 20,000 simultaneous players there in an era where the least high-profile RPGs come like Kingdom: Submission II peaked at 256,000 there. Even Dragon’s “failed” era: Veilgard reached 89,000 (though with a much larger budget, no doubt). I don’t think Avowed is a kind of catastrophe, but Microsoft would not be sad if he moved several million more copies to the PS5.
What will happen? I will give at least one year before this is announced or actually happened, but judging by Starfield, hey, maybe not.
